![]() McAlister Library - PasadenaThrough the generosity of Fuller Theological Seminary, SFTS/Southern California students and faculty have full access to McAlister Library on the Fuller campus. Each student is issued a library card which grants full use and borrowing privileges. Those cards will be available, annually at the library orientation at McAlister Library, or through the SFT/Southern California office for those persons unable to attend the orientation. McAlister Library is also a member of two library consortia in Southern California. This allows our students and faculty access (use and borrowing privileges in most cases) to books from a large number of Southern California theological and college and university libraries. Forms to secure those library privileges must be secured, completed and signed at the McAlister Library desk. Then the signed form, along with the person’s McAlister Library card simply needs to be presented at the other participating library. A list of those libraries is available to SFTS/Southern California students and faculty, each year. This service allows persons in this “dispersed SFTS program” to use libraries that are convenient to their own residence. Finally, this library resourcing also gives access to a growing array of theological print resources that are available on-line. Students and faculty are given a password which will grant access, via the internet, to ATLA and EBSCO which are key providers of those on-line resources. This access is available through any computer that will give will allow someone to connect to the internet. The works that are available on-line are full-text documents and are fully indexed. These resources serve SFTS/Southern California students with a solid and comprehensives set of library services. |
