Biographical Information

I am a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church of Petaluma, Petaluma, CA. I received an AA (General Education) from Santa Rosa Junior College and transferred to Sonoma State University where I completed a BA in Psychology. During college I worked at Summer Camp, worked part-time as the Youth Coordinator, volunteered as Youth Leader, and helped lead a college-aged ministry with adults and peers. Before pursuing ordained vocational ministry I worked as a counselor with children, youth and their families at a non-profit mental health organization providing residential treatment and wrap-around services. But this was not what I really wanted to do. God was calling me back. I continued to volunteer as a youth leader, helped in the prayer and healing ministry, and led worship at a church where one of my friends was the youth director. I interned for a year at a Presbyterian church east of Sacramento where I participated in staff leadership, created liturgies and led worship. This was an awesome experience. I also was a lay leader, including music and worship, for an emergent worship service and community at a Presbyterian Church in Sacramento.

I desire to know Jesus Christ and to make him known. I long to be in community, to be led by and partner with, the Holy Spirit in knowing, strengthening, and widening God’s community - the Kingdom of God. I desire to worship, serve, grow, and love. Through prayer, meeting with one another, breaking bread, and serving we will be closer than we ever imagined, reminiscent of how it will be in heaven. I long to help create space with the people of God to worship and receive and remember God’s grace; to help others know and use their God-given talents and gifts for the glory of God and the building up of God’s kingdom. Above all else, and however God desires, I want to love and serve him. I enjoy relaxing and fellowshipping with my friends, theological study and discussion, sports (mostly watching these days), cooking and baking, listening to and playing music (guitar and singing), and camping.
